THOUSANDS FLOCK TO VALLEY UNIVERSITY AS AUGUST 2026 INTAKE REGISTRATION GETS UNDERWAY
BUSHENYI — Valley University of Science and Technology (VUST) has come alive this week as thousands of new students reported for registration, marking a vibrant start to the August 2026 academic intake. The gates opened to a massive influx of freshmen and parents from across the region, all eager to secure their placement at one of western Uganda’s fastest-growing higher education hubs. The campus is buzzing with activity as the academic registrar’s team, student guild leaders and faculty staff smoothly guide the new learners through their verification, accommodation allocation and orientation packages.

A major draw for the thousands choosing VUST is the University’s widely praised conducive study environment. Nestled in the scenic, rolling landscapes of Bushenyi, the campus offers a peaceful atmosphere completely free from the noise and congestion. The cool, refreshing breeze and quiet green spaces facilitate both highly focused individual research and collaborative group innovations. Coupled with high-quality infrastructure and qualified staff, VUST provides a perfect balance of safety, comfort and academic focus.

For those who have not yet registered, the window of opportunity remains open. The VUST Academic Registrar has confirmed that admissions for the August 2026 Intake are still ongoing. Prospective students can still submit applications for highly competitive programs spanning Science, Technology, Business, Management, Agriculture and Education. Applicants are advised to report to the campus with their original academic documents, or apply directly online at https://vust.ac.ug/application-form/, to benefit from hands-on Competence-Based Education (CBE) designed for the modern job market.

Notably, VUST is Chartered, and students are also eligible to access the Government Student Loan Scheme, significantly lowering financial barriers for qualifying applicants.
